Functions in this section are intended to be called directly from Lisp, hence they all obey the Lisp convention of always accepting and returning a block. In this section, we use Lisp syntax for describing parameters and return values, rather than the usual MUF syntax.
There is nothing wrong with calling these functions from MUF.
